Police arrest four suspects over kidnapping and m8rder of two victims in Ondo community


 The Ondo State Police Command has arrested four suspected members of a criminal syndicate linked to the kidnapping of one Kehinde Yisa and the m8rder of another victim, identified as Bako, 50, in Ago Baale, Idoani, on March 3, 2026.

The spokesperson for the command, DSP Abayomi Jimoh, disclosed this in a statement on Thursday, June 25, 2026.

According to the statement, the suspects identified as Umar Ibrahim, Musa Abdullateef, Ojo Sikiru, and Oseni Waheed, admitted their roles in the kidnapping and m8rder of the victims.

Jimoh said the case which was initially reported and investigated at the Idoani Division, was subsequently transferred to the Command’s Anti-Kidnapping Squad for discreet and intensive investigation.

 At least 188 people have been k!lled and more than 1,500 injured after the powerful back-to-back earthquakes in Venezuela, according to the latest reports.

Rescuers are searching the rubble in Caracas and the state of La Guaira, where the UN says more than 100 buildings have collapsed after the earthquakes on Wednesday, June 24.

The U.S. Geological Survey said the temblors had magnitudes of 7.2 and 7.5. The second was the strongest to hit Venezuela since 1900.

In a brief address to the nation late Wednesday, Venezuela's Acting President Delcy Rodriguez declared a state of emergency.

Eight persons confirmed de@d in Lagos building collapse


 No fewer than eight people have d!ed, and 26 others have been rescued from the three-storey building that collapsed in the Alakija area of Lagos State today, June 25.

The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency confirmed the latest casualty figures in a statement issued by its Permanent Secretary, Dr. Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu.

According to him, the building, located on Old Ojo Road by Alakija Bus Stop, off the Lagos-Badagry Expressway in Satellite Town, collapsed at about 11:37 a.m., prompting a large-scale emergency response involving multiple agencies.

Providing an update on the rescue operation, Oke-Osanyintolu said

“As of 4:20 p.m., a total of 26 persons have been rescued alive, while eight fatalities have been recorded, including a baby girl. Search and rescue operations remain ongoing. Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.”


 



Teacher (Video) accused of an@l r@pe of boy, 15, who in turn allegedly r@ped his younger male cousin


 A teacher Nduka Iheme, better known as Sir Best, has been confronted for allegedly abusing a 15-year-old boy in Umuhu Okabia, Orsu LGA, Imo State. 

The boy named Chinemezu lives with his aunt. The aunt explained that she was going home with her nephew Chinemezu and her son Kamsi last week when Kamsi told her that Chinemezu has been putting his male member into his @nus. 

 The aunt said she was shocked and when she got home, she checked her son's @nus and saw scratches there. 

When she confronted her nephew, Chinemezu said he learnt it from his teacher Sir Best. He claimed the teacher m0l£sts him an@lly. He said it happened sometimes at Umuhu Okabia Secondary School and sometimes when the man sends him on errands at his home.
