 FIFA president, Gianni Infantino has called for players who cover their mouths in on-pitch confrontations to be sent off.

 

Infantino's words come after Real Madrid forward Vinícius Júnior said he was racially abused by Benfica's Gianluca Prestianni in their Champions League playoff first leg, with Prestianni covering his mouth during the alleged incident.

 

UEFA have since opened an investigation into the accusation, with Prestianni suspended for the second leg between the two sides and facing up to a 10-match ban should he be found guilty by European football's governing body.

 

"If a player covers his mouth and says something, and this has a racist consequence, then he has to be sent off, obviously," Infantino told Sky News.

Monika Rubacha, 44, was found de@d with her children, Josh James, 14 and 11-year-old Emma James, at their home.

Two men behind bars for blowing up sheep with explosives inserted into its body

 

Two "sadistic" agricultural students have been detained for beating a sheep to de@th, before inserting explosive bird scarers in its body, while filming the attack. 

Leighton Ashby, 22 and from Beckett Road in Ashford, Kent, and Oakley Hollands, 20, of Mussenden Lane in Horton Kirby, Kent, appeared at Hove Crown Court on Monday, February 23. 

At an earlier hearing the Plumpton College students had admitted k!lling the sheep in a field near Ditchling Beacon, East Sussex, on 2 November 2023.
