An employee of the Lagos State Police Command's Rapid Response Squad (RRS) stopped a 25-year-old street vendor from diving into a lagoon.
On Tuesday, May 16, 2023, about 8:00 a.m., the hawker Rabiu Nafiu was prevented from jumping into the Lagoon.
Nafiu warned the RRS police not to stop him from jumping when he saw them approaching.
Before they could pull him down the edge of the bridge, the police were able to calm him down.
On the advice of CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi, Commander RRS, he has been sent to RRS HQ.
